Words Saved Lives artist Larry Robertson and Columbus Flea founder Nikki Portman have a friendship that goes back years founded on a mutual love of well curated vintage. This year, after participating in the first ever “Digi Flea” followed by the “Baby Flea” they joined forces to create a limited run of tote bags. While customizing the Skull Flea Bags Larry got the idea to push the customization even further and added a suit and overcoat to the fray. Proceeds from this collaboration will go towards the BIPOC art gallery that Larry has recently founded in Franklinton, Columbus, Ohio. 

This vintage wool two button suit with pleated trousers has been customized with the addition of two “Skull Flea Bags”. In creating this coat designer Larry Robertson drew inspiration from pheasant pockets on vintage game hunting jackets and Erykah Badu’s song “Bag Lady”. It is suggested that you load the bags with glass bottles of water, your favorite books and fresh fruit.
